Unwanted waste tire dump near Vilshofen

Illegal waste tire disposal

An unknown person illegally disposed of old tires in the area around the Mattenham car park and the Piske Tower near Vilshofen (Passau district). After the crime was reported on March 23, 2024, the Vilshofen police were unable to obtain any information about the perpetrator. The responsible building yard was commissioned with disposal.
The police are now investigating the incident as an environmental crime and are asking for information from witnesses by calling 08541/96130.

The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of a total of 18 companies organized in the Federal Association of Tire Dealers and Vulcanisers (BRV), 16 of which are certified disposal companies. The ZARE partners have set themselves the task of raising awareness of professional old tire recycling in Germany. At 25 locations, the ZARE partners cover almost all of Germany and the Netherlands. The ZARE partners do not have any additional certification compared to the certified used tire disposal companies who do not belong to the initiative. The certificate in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance/BRV requirement profile alone stands for environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. The ZARE initiative makes this public.
