In Neulußheim, a major fire broke out in a warehouse filled with used tires on March 25, 2024 at around 16:36 p.m. This led to massive smoke and the temporary closure of the B39. The Neulußheim police and volunteer fire brigade went to the company premises and discovered that the hall, which is located on a site between the B39 and Hockenheimer Straße, was ablaze. The smoke moved towards Speyer and Altlußheim. The fire was under control at 18:10 p.m. The hall, which covered an area of around 1500 square meters, was completely destroyed. The damage is estimated at around 230.000 euros. Luckily there were no injuries.
