One of the two cases of illegal tire disposal that the police in Wetteraukreis dealt with in December has already been cleared up. A hefty fine awaits the perpetrator. It is very likely a company from Karben. She had commissioned three men from Hanau to dispose of 50 old tires. They were unloaded on a connecting route between Assenheim and Bönstadt.
In the second case, 150 tires were deposited at the extension of Ottostraße in Ober-Rosbach, as a spokeswoman for the Wetterau-Friedberg police reported. The perpetrators used a rainwater collection tank, which can be reached via a paved and gravel dirt road, as a storage area. The used tires were probably transported with a small truck or a car trailer. The police in Friedberg are hoping for further witnesses by calling 06031/601-0.
