Tire Technology Expo: ZARE sets an example for certified disposal and circular economy

The Tire Technology Expo was all about sustainable tire recycling!

In an impressive presentation, Stephan Rau (German Rubber Industry Association) showed how the ZARE initiative, AZuR, the Federal Association of Tire Trade and Vulcanization Crafts and the bvse Federal Association of Secondary Raw Materials and Disposal are working together on sustainable solutions for the industry.

A particular focus is on certified disposal, material and chemical recycling and retreading as essential components of a functioning circular economy. The work of ZARE-certified disposal companies in particular plays a crucial role in properly collecting and recycling old tires and returning them to the economic cycle.

A strong sign for a resource-saving future for the tire industry!

About ZARE

The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of a total of 18 companies organized in the Federal Association of Tire Dealers and Vulcanisers (BRV), 17 of which are certified disposal companies. The ZARE partners have set themselves the task of raising awareness of professional old tire recycling in Germany. At 29 locations, the ZARE partners cover almost all of Germany and the Netherlands. The ZARE partners do not have any additional certification compared to the certified used tire disposal companies who do not belong to the initiative. The certificate in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance/BRV requirement profile alone stands for environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. The ZARE initiative makes this public.
