At night, on April 4, 2023 in the district of Kockisch in Saxony, several used tires caught fire in an industrial plant on Waldheimer Straße. It developed into a major fire covering an area of ​​about 100 square meters. After the alarm was received by the fire brigade, residents in the immediate vicinity were notified via the "NINA" warning app not to leave their buildings and to keep doors and windows closed.

Police report that no one was injured and there was only minor damage to property. The investigation into arson continues.
