Strengthening the ZARE network: Welzenbach Logistik becomes new partner

Bonn, January 16, 2025 The ZARE (Certified Used Tire Disposal) initiative is starting 2025 with a new addition: Erwin Welzenbach Spedition GmbH is joining the ZARE network. The family-run company from Rieneck (Bavaria) brings extensive experience in value-oriented disposal logistics for industry, commerce and trade. With the new ZARE partner, ZARE's reach is expanded and contributes to the nationwide disposal of used tires in Germany. 18 companies are currently involved in the ZARE initiative network.

"With Welzenbach as a new partner, we are consolidating our position as a leading network for sustainable waste tire disposal," explains Christina Guth, network coordinator at ZARE. "Welzenbach's broad expertise and commitment in the field of transport and disposal logistics are a valuable addition that will help us to further advance our mission of an environmentally friendly circular economy."

At 29 locations, the ZARE partners dispose of more than 50% of the waste tires in Germany and are represented from north to south and from east to west.

The amount of used tires in Germany remains a challenge: over 540.000 tons of used tires are generated every year. Over 50% of these used tires are collected, sorted and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner by certified ZARE companies - a top figure that underlines the importance of the network for sustainable disposal.

"The figures show that we are making an important contribution to the environment with our network," Guth continued. "Through the partnership with Welzenbach, we can further expand this volume and serve additional regions even better." The ZARE network wants to continue to grow and is happy to integrate new partners who are committed to the sustainable circular economy.

Environmentally friendly solutions for the future

Since its founding, ZARE has pursued the goal of optimizing the disposal of used tires in Germany and ensuring the highest standards for environmental protection and resource conservation. With its partners, the network offers drivers, car repair shops and dealers a reliable and sustainable solution for the disposal of used tires.
