The managing director of a Winnenden export and import company has to answer to the district court of Waiblingen for illegal handling of hazardous waste. The man had previously sold 400 car tires to a dealer who shipped used goods from Germany to Namibia. In the end, however, the tires could not be shipped because customs found out during an inspection that they had been squeezed together in packs of four and the carcasses had broken. This makes recycling impossible and the tires are just waste that needs to be disposed of.
