The international trade fair The Tire Cologne will take place from May 24th to 26th, 2022. At the hybrid trade fair concept with face-to-face and online events, exhibitors from all over the world present innovations, new products and trends relating to the topic of "tires". The ZARE initiative is on site in Cologne and will provide information on the topics of old tire disposal and recycling at booth C-48 in hall 7.1.
In addition, in the “Recycling Forum” action area in Hall 7.1, you can experience the disposal of used tires live: On two days of the trade fair, the experts from ZARE will show the criteria they use to sort used tires professionally and explain what happens to the tires during subsequent recycling. Old tires in good condition are retreaded or reused as used tires. The other part is thermally or materially recycled. Visitors can experience at first hand how certified used tire disposal companies work and what contribution they make to environmental protection.
In Germany, around 600.000 tons of old tires accumulate every year. The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of 18 companies that are members of the German Tire Trade and Vulcanization Trade Association (BRV), 16 of which are certified disposal companies. Together they have the goal of strengthening professional tire recycling and informing tire users about the sustainable disposal of old tires.
