Waste tire disposal of the future: ZARE partner meeting in Karlsruhe

Bonn, May 10.05.2023th, 27 The ZARE initiative is committed to professional tire recycling. At the partner meeting on April 2023, XNUMX at the RecyclingAKTIV trade fair in Karlsruhe, the certified waste disposal companies discussed the future of waste tire disposal.

New impetus and numerous ideas for the environmentally friendly disposal of used tires: At the partner meeting of the ZARE initiative (“Certified Used Tire Disposal Company”) on April 27, 2023, 18 participants were on site and exchanged lively views on the situation in the industry and future developments in the disposal of used tires. The meeting took place as part of the "RecyclingAKTIV und TiefbauLIVE" trade fair in Karlsruhe, the trade fair for waste disposal and recycling as well as road construction and civil engineering.

The certified waste disposal companies of the ZARE initiative have made it their task to inform motorists and specialist dealers about the relevance of professional and environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. At the partner meeting, network coordinator Christina Guth presented projects from the past year, such as a successfully produced explanatory film https://zertifizierte-altreifenentsorger.de/die-initiative-zare/ on the professional disposal of used tires, participation in trade fairs, new partners and dialogue between ZARE partners and politicians.

The industry situation was discussed: With the help of a survey among the ZARE partners, a binding statement should be made as to how many used tires are disposed of via the ZARE partners and which recycling methods are used. In addition, the ZARE partners are working on a proposal for the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) on how old tire disposal could look in the future. The draft for an ordinance on the disposal of tires and rubber was discussed intensively among the participants and is to be finalized in the near future. “We are pleased that politicians are taking notice of ZARE and that we can actively help to shape the sustainable disposal of old tires. We demand that in future used tires may only be disposed of by certified disposal companies in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance (EfbV) that are particularly suitable for sorting tires - for a functioning recycling economy, resource efficiency and less waste," says Christina Guth.

Conversion time: Dispose of used tires responsibly

Tires do not rot and harm people and nature if not disposed of properly. In addition, tires consist of many valuable components such as rubber, steel and textiles, which can be reused, reused and recycled in the spirit of the circular economy. In the name of the environment, drivers and specialist dealers should make sure that they dispose of used tires via certified disposal companies during the current conversion period. Certified waste disposal companies sort discarded tires professionally and route them to the most sustainable recycling methods - whether retreading, export, material, chemical or thermal recycling.

Via the contact form on the website https://zertifizierte-altreifenentsorger.de/altreifen-annahme-und-verkauf/ With the ZARE initiative, companies can make inquiries about professional disposal of old tires. The minimum quantity when accepting used tires is 50 pieces or one ton.
