A crocodile with a hoop around its neck has been wandering the Indonesian Palu River for more than a year. Animal rights activists assume that someone deliberately put the motorcycle tire on the animal in order to capture it. A video now shows the animal struggling for air – the authorities suspect that the tire around the neck is becoming too tight.
A year ago, according to animal rights activists, the animal still had enough room to move its neck. Now they want to catch the crocodile to save it from suffocating. However, the authorities lack the necessary equipment for this, and they also do not know exactly where the crocodile is currently located. When the water is low, a trap is to be installed in the river to catch the animal.
