For several years, the Indonesian Animal Protection Agency has been trying to free a crocodile from a tire around its neck. In the meantime, a reward has even been offered for anyone who dares to remove this hoop from the crocodile's neck.
The crocodile has been stuck in the tire for three years. To date, attempts to remove the reptile from the tire have been unsuccessful. A video shows the hardships the crocodile is in and how it has to gasp for air. "Whoever can remove the hoop from the crocodile's neck will get the reward," said conservation chief Hasmuni Hasmar. The amount of the reward, which nature conservation chief Hasmuni Hasmar is paying out of his own pocket, is not disclosed because it could put people at risk.
