An average of 75 tons of litter per year

Wild garbage old tires

The network of recycling centers in the district of Calw (Baden-Württemberg) is actually quite dense. Nevertheless, 240 kilos of rubbish are dumped illegally in the countryside every day - at the expense of fee payers and municipalities. Poorly visible but freely accessible places where people feel unobserved at their "work" are particularly popular as rubbish dumps.
On average, the AWG has to dispose of 75 tons of litter every year. Old tires play a large part in this, the number of which adds up to around 500 per year. The incineration of these legacies in the residual waste thermal power station in Böblingen costs 15.000 euros per year.
