The amount of used tires will continue its downward trend in 2022. This trend is reflected in the volume of new tires, which was 460.000 tons last year and has fallen to 443.000 tons this year. The export of used tires, however, remains unchanged compared to the previous year.
With regard to the recycling of used tires, the figures show hardly any changes compared to the previous year. Material recycling, especially the production of granules and rubber powder, increased from 220.000 tons in the previous year to 225.000 tons. There has been a significant decline in recycling in the cement industry, from 166.000 tonnes in the previous year to 143.000 tonnes.
