Old tires do not belong in normal household waste, but should be disposed of properly in order to protect the environment and recover valuable raw materials. An observant witness saw on March 15, 2026, at around 14:30 p.m., old tires being illegally dumped in a parking lot on Hamelner Straße in the Steinbergen district (Rinteln).
On March 13, 2026, more than twenty used tires were discovered and reported on a vineyard between Köndringen and Mundingen. The exact time period in which they were dumped is unclear.
