Around 550.000 tons of old tires are generated every year in Germany alone - extrapolated, that's about one tire per German citizen. ZARE has been committed to sustainable tire recycling for almost ten years. The certified old tire disposal companies make the difference: after collecting the tires, they sort them into different recycling categories: treaded tires, carcasses for retreading, tires for material recycling, tires for chemical recycling - ideally, the tires can be recycled 100% sustainably in Europe. Danny Schwalbe from MRH Mülsen and ZARE partner from the very beginning, informed about this circular economy project at the BRV members' meeting, which took place this year on the sidelines of the TTC in Cologne, and motivated tire dealers to hand over old tires to "sustainable hands" in the future.
