In Unterrieden near the old railway bridge, the Witzenhausen fishing club has a fishing pond. In this fishing pond, unknown persons illegally disposed of at least eleven solid rubber tires - angler Adrian Lux got them out again.
This environmental outrage was discovered on Wednesday morning near the cycle path between Witzenhausen and Wendershausen. The scrap tires could come from racing cars, go-karts, and forklifts. Angler Adrian Lux fears that the water quality will be impaired and has therefore removed the tires visible in the water from the pond.
The Witzenhausen police were informed by the board of directors of the fishing club and are asking for information from the population under the Telephone number 05542/93040.
