Between Friday, February 10, 2017 and Monday, February 13, 2017, an environmental offender illegally disposed of a large number of used tires in the Zerfer Forest (Trier-Saarburg district). The district forester responsible found the tires on a gravel forest path above the district of Oberzerf. There are a total of 29 summer and winter tires of different sizes and manufacturers, 20 of them with rims. The Saarburg Police Inspectorate (PI) has started the investigation and is looking for witnesses who made suspicious or unusual observations during the period in question.
