Shredding tires in the desert

Waste tires in Kuwait

Around 14 million used tires lie in the scorching sun in Sulaibiya, Kuwait. With German technology, they are now to be given a new purpose, according to the company Arjes - Recycling Innovations from Leimbach in Thuringia. To this end, it is supplying its most powerful VZ 950 shredder to the Epsco company in Kuwait City. With an output of approx. 25 tons per hour, the huge mountain of tires could be history by the middle of the year – assuming everything goes according to plan.
