Masses of old tires were found lying in the countryside, in Mönchengladbach around 280 even in a landscape conservation area, in Viersen there were around 100 tires that were found between Viersen-Dülken and Mönchengladbach and in Nettetal around 250. Another location was in Grevenbroich, where almost 200 old tires were found in nature in the Neurath district. The trail led to the district of Viersen because markings for license plates from the district area were found on some of the tire covers.
The investigators from the different circles work together and cooperate with the Mönchengladbach waste disposal companies. However, a criminal complaint against unknown persons came to nothing.
