Used tires in the forest: waste disposal company is exposed

problem case340x227Laziness or greed with a complete lack of environmental awareness can sometimes have an extremely negative impact on economic trade. The Groß-Gerau forestry office, together with the Federal Association of Tire Trade and Vulcanisers (BRV) and the town of Mörfelden-Walldorf near Frankfurt, are now pleased that the investigation into illegally disposed old tires has been successful.

Together these three organizations have apparently identified the owner of tires illegally dumped in a forest, so that the responsible disposal company must now expect legal consequences. Apparently, there have always been cases of illegal disposal of used tires in the forests between Groß-Gerau, Rüsselsheim and Mörfelden-Walldorf, according to the local press. In June, for example, a complete truckload of worn tires was dumped in a forest parking lot on the B 486. Since all attempts to catch the perpetrator or perpetrators had been unsuccessful, the local forestry office and the BRV started a cooperation in July. As a result of the media reports, several witnesses contacted the forestry office and pointed the trail to the waste disposal company responsible.
