In the community of Gescher, about 50 kilometers west of Münster, a house fire caused damage of 13 euros in the night of October 14th to 30.000th. Due to circumstances that are still unclear, a stack of car tires that was stored in a storage room burst into flames. The two residents were able to leave the house in time. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Arson is also not excluded.

The fire brigade was informed by telephone about the fire at around 02:50 a.m. by a witness. He claimed to have been woken up by storm bells. From the window he could see the burning house opposite, but there was no trace of the "Klingler". There may be a connection between the fire and a traffic offence: around midnight, a pedestrian was endangered by a black VW Golf (new model with license plate light) that was driving without lights and at high speed.
