After the old tire fires in Zierstorf and Wattmannshagen, the fire brigade came to the conclusion that a fire devil was up to mischief in the region between Güstrow and Teterow. On the night of July 24.07.2016, 500, a good XNUMX old tires caught fire at a silo facility near Wattmannshagen. Since the fire broke out in two different places, the responsible authorities must assume arson. The fact that old tires are difficult to ignite and that fire accelerants may have been used also suggests this. At the end of June, several tires were set on fire near a residential building in Zierstorf, not far away, apparently using the same method. Although the fire had already reached a nearby forest, firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in time.
