In Norddeich, Schleswig-Holstein (Dithmarschen district), unknown individuals dumped 16 old tires, carpet remnants, and PVC flooring in a field. According to the Heide police station, the waste was found off the road in an adjacent field along Deichstraße. Walkers reported the discovery to the authorities on Monday; based on current information, the waste was dumped there sometime during the previous weekend—presumably on the night of March 22, 2026. There are currently no concrete leads regarding the perpetrator. Even small quantities constitute an environmental crime: old tires release pollutants into the soil and groundwater over many years, and mixed construction waste with carpet remnants and PVC further exacerbates the problem.
