In the Ore Mountains, unknown individuals dumped approximately 100 used tires in a wooded area near Oelsnitz. According to the Stollberg police station, the tires were disposed of between April 10th and 21st, 2026, in a wooded area along State Road S 255 in the direction of Heinrichsort – on the right-hand side between a guesthouse and the entrance to Heinrichsort. A hunter reported the discovery near his hunting blind; shortly afterward, a forester discovered a second dumping site with large stacks of tires not far away. Due to the quantity, investigators assume the perpetrators used a larger vehicle – a van, a car with a trailer, or a truck. The effort required for proper removal is likely to be considerable.
