Environmental offenders are putting the city administration under pressure by illegally disposing of old tires along the vegetable trail in Bornheim. From February 16, 2024, small quantities of tires, between three and two dozen, were repeatedly dumped in this area. The city, which disposes of the tires properly, is confronted with a new level of environmental pollution, which is probably behind commercial actors.
The police and the public order office are asking the public to help identify the perpetrators in order to put an end to illegal waste disposal, which can be punished with high fines. Witnesses are asked to call 0228) 1558-11 with specific information such as a personal description or vehicle license plate number.
