After the incident in February, the city of Celle now has to deal with illegally discarded tires again. A total of 500 old tires turned up at a total of three different locations. It is believed that all tires were dumped in the “Brand” forest area between Nienhagen and Ehlershausen over the weekend of June 3-4, 2023.
Police suspect a truck was used for the crime. The tires were probably already several decades old and showed corresponding signs. The perpetrator of the incident in February was identified and had to pay a fine of €6.000. Since it is again an illegal deposit, the perpetrator or perpetrators can expect a fine again.
