Old tires found in the Solling forest

Illegal waste tire disposal

30 illegally disposed of old tires were discovered by a forester on June 28, 2023 in the Solling forest area on Sandbornweg. A few weeks ago he found the same amount of car tires on the public road.
The Northeim district authority took care of the disposal of the used tires. The taxpayer bears the costs. The last incident cost 500 euros.

About ZARE

The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of a total of 18 companies organized in the Federal Association of Tire Dealers and Vulcanisers (BRV), 17 of which are certified disposal companies. The ZARE partners have set themselves the task of raising awareness of professional old tire recycling in Germany. At 29 locations, the ZARE partners cover almost all of Germany and the Netherlands. The ZARE partners do not have any additional certification compared to the certified used tire disposal companies who do not belong to the initiative. The certificate in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance/BRV requirement profile alone stands for environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. The ZARE initiative makes this public.
