Illegal dumping of old tires on Dukelweg

Illegal waste tire disposal

Between October 3 and 6, 2024, unknown perpetrators illegally disposed of several cubic meters of old tires on Dukelweg between Marienchor and Bunderhammrich. According to the police, the garbage was probably dumped with a truck or dump trailer. In addition to car tires, bicycle tires were also found in the pile.
Witnesses are asked to contact the Jemgum police on 04958-910420.

The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of a total of 18 companies organized in the Federal Association of Tire Dealers and Vulcanisers (BRV), 17 of which are certified disposal companies. The ZARE partners have set themselves the task of raising awareness of professional old tire recycling in Germany. At 29 locations, the ZARE partners cover almost all of Germany and the Netherlands. The ZARE partners do not have any additional certification compared to the certified used tire disposal companies who do not belong to the initiative. The certificate in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance/BRV requirement profile alone stands for environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. The ZARE initiative makes this public.
