On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, two cases of illegal waste disposal were discovered in Otze. On the western edge of the town on the "Meeerfeld" road, unknown persons probably dumped around 4 cubic meters of used tires in a vehicle. South of Otze, in the "Schwarzer Berg" area, a total of five filled used oil canisters were also disposed of. In both cases, the police arranged for proper disposal by a regional waste disposal company. Administrative offense proceedings for unauthorized waste disposal have been initiated.
