Used tire set dumped illegally

Illegal waste tire disposal

In the small village of Otze in Lower Saxony, on June 25, 2023, a complete set of used tires was illegally disposed of in a wooded area. Administrative offense proceedings were initiated against the perpetrator or perpetrators due to unauthorized waste disposal.

Witnesses are asked to pass on relevant information to clarify the case to the Burgdorf Police Inspectorate on 05136/8861-4115.

The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of a total of 18 companies organized in the Federal Association of Tire Dealers and Vulcanisers (BRV), 17 of which are certified disposal companies. The ZARE partners have set themselves the task of raising awareness of professional old tire recycling in Germany. At 29 locations, the ZARE partners cover almost all of Germany and the Netherlands. The ZARE partners do not have any additional certification compared to the certified used tire disposal companies who do not belong to the initiative. The certificate in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance/BRV requirement profile alone stands for environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. The ZARE initiative makes this public.
