In July of this year, unknown persons dumped 1000 used tires in a wooded area near Rothemann. A month later old tires were found in the forest again. Now the police are investigating the old tire sinners because of the criminal offense of illegal handling of waste.
So far, the police have found no connection between the two crimes. So far it is only clear that the old tires deposited were stored outdoors for a long time due to traces.

The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of a total of 18 companies organized in the Federal Association of Tire Dealers and Vulcanisers (BRV), 16 of which are certified disposal companies. The ZARE partners have set themselves the task of raising awareness of professional old tire recycling in Germany. At 25 locations, the ZARE partners cover almost all of Germany and the Netherlands. The ZARE partners do not have any additional certification compared to the certified used tire disposal companies who do not belong to the initiative. The certificate in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance/BRV requirement profile alone stands for environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. The ZARE initiative makes this public.
