Old tires found in Offenbach

Cases of illegally disposed of old tires are increasing in Offenbach. On January 03, 2024, 36 car tires were discovered on a spur road near Karl-Herdt-Weg, while around 120 old tires were previously dumped in the Erlensteg nature reserve. These acts are met with incomprehension, especially since they happened directly in protected natural areas. The public order office has already started an investigation and is asking the public for support. People who saw suspicious vans or small trucks in the above-mentioned areas before December 30, 2023 are asked to contact the public order office's garbage hotline 06980654747.

Possible perpetrators must expect fines of up to 5.000 euros if they are identified. Walkers are asked to be vigilant as further illegal dumping could occur at any time. Anyone who observes such actions can, in addition to reporting them by telephone, also report them to the public order office using the city's defect report app. The app offers the advantage of recording location data via GPS and can be found at http://www.offenbach.de/ Mangelmelder.
