22 old tires left illegally near Schneckenlohe

Illegal waste tire disposal

Between September 21 and 24, 2024, a total of 2200 old tires, some still with steel rims, were illegally disposed of along the bike path on State Road 22 near Beikheim. Due to the quantity, the police suspect that the transport was carried out in a larger vehicle. Tire tracks at the disposal site could provide clues to the perpetrator.
The Kronach police station is asking witnesses to come forward.

The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of a total of 18 companies organized in the Federal Association of Tire Dealers and Vulcanisers (BRV), 17 of which are certified disposal companies. The ZARE partners have set themselves the task of raising awareness of professional old tire recycling in Germany. At 29 locations, the ZARE partners cover almost all of Germany and the Netherlands. The ZARE partners do not have any additional certification compared to the certified used tire disposal companies who do not belong to the initiative. The certificate in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance/BRV requirement profile alone stands for environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. The ZARE initiative makes this public.
