On November 24, 2025, an illegal dumping of used tires was reported in a wooded area near Pleß. Approximately 100 tires were found at the end of a valley path next to a railway track. The police are asking for information.

On December 22, 2025, approximately 19 used tires were illegally dumped along an agricultural road near the L50/L52 highways close to Salmtal, Altrich, and Klausen-Pohlbach. The Wittlich Police Inspectorate is investigating.
