100 old tires discovered illegally in the forest near Ertingen

Over the weekend, during the night hours of Saturday, September 14th to Sunday, September 15th, 2024, around 100 old tires were illegally dumped in the forest area on Walkishauweg between Kanzach and Marbach. A witness discovered the tires and informed the authorities. The Riedlingen police are investigating and looking for clues, especially about larger vehicles such as vans or trucks that were seen in this area.

The ZARE initiative is an amalgamation of a total of 18 companies organized in the Federal Association of Tire Dealers and Vulcanisers (BRV), 17 of which are certified disposal companies. The ZARE partners have set themselves the task of raising awareness of professional old tire recycling in Germany. At 29 locations, the ZARE partners cover almost all of Germany and the Netherlands. The ZARE partners do not have any additional certification compared to the certified used tire disposal companies who do not belong to the initiative. The certificate in accordance with the Waste Management Ordinance/BRV requirement profile alone stands for environmentally friendly disposal of old tires. The ZARE initiative makes this public.
