Three young men between the ages of 18 and 22 were held accountable for the disposal of around 800 to 1.000 old tires in the Osnabrück district: They had responded to an eBay ad that a farmer wanted to sell a large number of tires. The three men assured him that it would be disposed of professionally, received 330 euros in return and loaded the mountain of tires onto their van. When the farmer's sister read about illegal disposal of used tires in Bad Iburg, she turned to the men, who obviously got cold feet as a result. They confessed not only the disposal in Bad Iburg, but two other cases. In addition to a fine in the four-digit euro range, they can now also assume the disposal costs of around 2.000 euros.
