In the nature reserve between Delhoven and Straberg, old tires have been dumped illegally on a service road. A walker discovered a mountain of old tires on Monday morning (04.06.2018) and informed the authorities. The tires now have to be disposed of by employees of the city's construction depot. The city of Dormagen is now looking for the polluter and is asking for information from the population. Anyone who has observed anything suspicious is asked to contact the municipal tax office or the regulatory office, Tel.: 02133 257-287 or 02133 257-431. In addition to the disposal costs, the offender faces a high fine.
Garbage has often been disposed of illegally in Dormagen, for example paving slabs were dumped in an allotment garden in Zons three weeks ago. Last year, the disposal of the wild garbage deposits cost almost 10.000 euros. In most cases, the perpetrator cannot be identified and the costs remain with the general public.
