At the beginning of October, the Altmoorhausen and Wüsting fire brigades needed several hours to extinguish a burning stack of old tires and a trailer loaded with round straw bales in the municipality of Hude between Oldenburg and Bremen.
When the emergency services arrived at the scene of the fire around 17.30:XNUMX p.m., the fire was already in full expansion. The firefighters fought the flames with breathing apparatus and spray guns. "The fire was quickly under control and fortunately did not spread to adjacent trees. However, the further extinguishing work dragged on for hours because the entire stack of tires had to be removed," says the fire brigade report.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, the police have started the investigation.
